Honoring My Mother
I was fortunate that my mother lived to 96. She remained an active golfer until her late 80s when a broken ankle changed her life.
Looking back, I missed warning signs of brittle bones. She had a good diet, walked the course until her clubs became too heavy, and took bisphosphonates from her 50s. I didn’t link them to her tooth loss or fracture.
When I reached my 50s, I questioned standard bone health advice. My research showed that high doses of calcium and vitamin D, along with drugs that halted bone rebuilding, weren’t the answer. Trusted advisors even warned of risks like “Cancer” and “Brittle Bone.”
Exploring older scientific literature, I found Mayo Clinic and Canadian studies on strontium lactate, which supported true bone restoration. I rigorously analyzed clinical data and collaborated with scientists. Our study confirmed that low doses of strontium L-lactate aid calcium-based bone rebuilding and that balancing calcium with magnesium prevents vascular calcification risks.
My work continues, aiming to identify supplements that support healthy aging. I appreciate your interest in this journey.
